May 2010 Commencement ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 20 on the Greenspring Campus for students in accelerated and graduate programs.

May 2010 Commencement ceremonies will be held on Friday, May 21 on the Greenspring Campus for students in traditional programs.

THE GRADUATION FAIR
Rescheduled due to Snow:

Wednesday, February 24 – 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Thursday, February 25 – 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Academic garb, personalized announcements and graduation stationary may be ordered in the University Store during our Graduation Fair. A representative from Herff Jones will only be available during these times to answer any questions and also for ring orders. If you miss the Graduation Fair, you may still order your cap and gown.  You may order your cap and gown in the University Store until March 3.  After that date, there will be a $25 dollar late fee for orders.  You may also continue to order online at the website below until April 1.  After that date, a late fee will be charged for online orders.   http://www1.herffjones.com/college/graduation/index.cfm .

ACADEMIC GARB PICK UP
Monday, May 10 - 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Academic garb can be picked up in the University Store beginning May 10 during normal business hours. Cap, gown and hood must be returned to the Dawson Center theater lobby immediately after the Commencement ceremony. There will be a $25 charge for caps and gowns that are not returned that day.

COMMENCEMENT REHEARSAL
Friday, May 14 in the afternoon
Students who are graduating in the 10:00a.m. ceremony will rehearse at 1:00p.m. on Friday, May 14.  Students who are graduating in the 3:00p.m. ceremony will rehearse at 3:00p.m on Friday, May 14.  Please assemble in the Gymnasium.  The rehearsal should last about one hour and 30 minutes, and attendance is required.

BACCALAUREATE SERVICE
Tuesday, May 18 at 7:00 p.m.
The Baccalaureate Service will take place in the Gymnasium in the Manuszak Center.  This non-denominational service will be an opportunity for thanksgiving and celebration for our graduates and their families and guests.  Graduation awards will also be presented at this service.  Tickets are not required for this event.

NURSES’ PINNING
Wednesday, May 19 at 7:00 p.m.
The Pinning Ceremony will take place on the Greenspring Campus in the Theater.  More information will be sent to nursing graduates through the nursing department.

COMMENCEMENT TICKETS
Each graduate will receive six (6) tickets that ensure seating in the Gymnasium. Tickets are available for pick up beginning May 10 at the University Store.  They will be placed inside your cap and gown packet. Tickets are not available for those graduates who are not participating in the ceremony.  For extra tickets, please contact Maumi Chatterton in the Student Affairs Office at maumi@stevenson.edu.

RECEPTION
A reception to honor graduates and their families will take place in the Manuszak Center after each ceremony.

DIPLOMA
The Registrar’s Office will be mailing diplomas to graduates’ home address beginning June 14. To verify your mailing address is correct, please log on to WebXpress and select My Profile from the Academic Profile menu. Diplomas will not be released to any graduate whose account has a Financial Aid Office or Student Accounts flag.
